AmelBook is a personal mobile application built to help Muslims with daily Islamic practices — including prayer times, fasting days, zakat and hajj tracking, managing missed prayers and fasts, receiving necessary notifications, and related utilities. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data We Collect
AmelBook does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data you enter or generate within the app (such as dhikr counts, bookmarks, or settings) is stored exclusively on your device using SQLite and never leaves your device.
Permissions
The app may request the following device permissions:
- Location — used solely to calculate accurate prayer times based on your current location. Location data is processed on-device and is never sent to any server.
- Camera — used to capture and save photos during Hajj travels. All photos are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared with any server.
- Notifications — used to deliver prayer time reminders locally on your device.
Analytics
AmelBook uses Firebase Google Analytics to understand and improve app usage. Only anonymous usage statistics (such as screen views, app opens, and general usage trends) are collected through this service. No personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.) is collected or shared. The anonymous data collected is used to improve the app's performance and user experience.

Third-Party Services
Apart from Firebase Google Analytics mentioned above, AmelBook does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs or tracking services. No personal data is shared with any external party.
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
