    The problem

People who use several Claude subscriptions in Claude Code need to switch between accounts quickly and know which one still has capacity before a usage limit stops their work.

    What it does

    • Save and add accounts, then switch in one click from the accounts panel, the status bar or the command palette.
    • See each account's live usage limits (5-hour, weekly and model-specific windows) and the time until each one resets.
    • Get a proposal for the best next account, ranked by how much capacity would be lost soonest, and automatic proposals when the active account's limit runs out.
    • Stay logged in: tokens refresh the same way Claude Code refreshes them, browser login works without the CLI, and each account can have its own VS Code window.
    • Back up and restore the account list with a password (AES-256).
    • With usage history on, chart each limit over time, measure capacity use per limit and per account, and group it by weekday, hour, week or month.
    • See an availability calendar for a week or a day, projected from the latest reading and the reset times.

    Privacy by design

The extension collects no telemetry. Saved accounts live in VS Code's encrypted SecretStorage, and network requests go only to Anthropic.

    How it was built

The extension is written in TypeScript and Node.js with webview-based pages. It was built with an AI-driven lifecycle: Claude Code agents working from written specs and implementation plans, with review and testing stages before each release. It builds on the original account-switching core of claude-account-switcher by Krzysztof Zander.
